This review is for the flagship Home Run Inn restaurant on 31st Street. We walked in Saturday in the early afternoon. We were seated immediately, and had excellent table service. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer, which was a good start. I ordered sausage and cheese pizza, and my wife ordered cheese only, both with the "tavern style" crust. We like that Home Run Inn has an individual size (8 inches), so we didn't have to order small pizzas. I also appreciate that they still do a square cut in the individual size, rather than pie cut. We both enjoyed our pizzas. I thought the sausage tasted good, the cheese was browned just right, and liked their sauce which is not sweet. However, next time I will ask for less sauce. It seemed like the sausage and cheese were floating on top. We would come back if we are in the area. This 31st Street location was recently rebuilt with a large bar and dining room.

Best Pizza 🍕 in Chicago. Great customer service. Alina was amazing helping me decide what to eat. Restaurant was clean, staff very friendly and food was delicious. Highly recommend.

The restaurant was fairly empty when I was seated. It took exactly 7 minutes and 36 seconds for my server to come over and ask me if I wanted anything to drink or if I wanted to order anything. That was the only downfall of the experience. After my server took my drink order she was very attentive. She Took my order and I got the toasted ravioli for the appetizer and the spicy rigatoni with Italian sausage, I got the strawberry tea for my drink.. I also ordered half a dozen cookies to take home. The ravioli was pretty good. A little more marinara would be helpful. The spicy rigatoni was not very spicy, but it was good. The bathroom was not very clean, but the restaurant itself was. Overall, a pretty good visit minus the mishap with no one coming to the table for almost 8 minutes. (I arrived at 4:40 PM, Just before they started getting a bunch of customers in)
